New Delhi: India-based private aviation operator JetSetGo and Vertical Aerospace (NYSE: EVTL), a global aerospace and technology company pioneering electric aviation, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the intended purchase of 50 Valo aircraft and a strategic collaboration to develop Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) services in India.
The agreement positions India as a key market for certified Advanced Air Mobility services and establishes a framework for both companies to jointly develop route networks, operating models, regulatory engagement, and the commercial rollout of electric and hybrid-electric aircraft across the country.
Under the collaboration, JetSetGo will lead market research and operational planning for metro and short-haul regional routes. The company is already conducting technical evaluations, demand modelling, and feasibility studies in select corridors.
Valo, Vertical’s certification electric aircraft, is designed to fly up to 160 km at speeds of 240 km/h with zero operating emissions and airliner-level safety standards.

JetSetGo to Lead Market Development and Route Planning
Vertical Aerospace is also developing a hybrid-electric variant that offers increased range and mission flexibility, making it suitable for diverse aviation use cases across India.
The companies said the aircraft platform aligns with JetSetGo’s strategy to connect densely populated cities and underserved regional markets where ground travel remains time-consuming.
“From an operator’s standpoint, aircraft capability and certification timelines are decisive factors,” said Kanika Tekriwal, founder and chief executive of JetSetGo.
“We are seeing early indicators of demand on specific city pairs and intra city corridors. The Valo platform, particularly the hybrid-electric configuration, fits the operating profiles we are analysing for India.
Vertical’s progress to date has been impressive, and we are confident that the recently launched Valo design is an excellent fit with future customer needs in India.”
Stuart Simpson, CEO of Vertical Aerospace, said: “We are delighted to welcome JetSetGo as a new customer and partner. India is a dynamic and rapidly growing market for Advanced Air Mobility and working with an experienced operator like JetSetGo allows us to explore how Valo’s all-electric and hybrid-electric variant can unlock new routes and transport solutions across the country.”

Certification Timeline and Long-Term Deployment Strategy for JetSetGo
Vertical Aerospace is targeting type certification of Valo by 2028 under UK and European regulators, followed by global validations. JetSetGo noted that this could enable the early commercial rollout of Advanced Air Mobility services in India, subject to regulatory approvals.
The partnership comes as Indian regulators continue developing certification and infrastructure frameworks for AAM, and the collaboration is expected to contribute to JetSetGo’s long-term fleet planning for next-generation aircraft deployment.
JetSetGo, founded in 2014 by Kanika Tekriwal and Sudheer Perla, focuses on transforming private air travel in India by prioritising customer needs, improving time efficiency, and making private aviation more accessible.
Headquartered in New Delhi, the company has created a transparent marketplace for private jet charter services while making aircraft ownership more convenient and cost-effective. Its fleet includes five mid-size Hawker aircraft and six additional aircraft ranging from large-cabin jets to helicopters.
